JOE TEA THE PRODUCER

Joe Tea's story started in Birmingham, AL, and he has been making music since the summer of 2016. He first started producing as a pastime, as a way to keep me busy while my family was out of town during that summer. Joe Tea was inspired by the hip-hop that he grew up listening to in the 1980s and ‘90s. That bass-heavy, funky, trunk-rattling rap and hip-hop was everywhere, and anyone who came up in that era couldn’t get enough of it! So, when he produces a track today, he does so with that in mind. When he's not producing, he enjoys lounge and R&B. He has a love for all kinds of music and would love to produce all kinds, as well. To him, music means Freedom. The Freedom of expression, the Freedom of movement. He approaches new songs as a blank canvas. Outside of his typical genre, allows the music to take him where it will. Sometimes, what starts as a hip-hop track ends up being something entirely different. It just depends on how the music speaks to him.
